Champlin shares a boundary with Elm Creek Park Reserve, and properties on that side get steady wildlife pressure off it. Deer browse and rabbit damage on young plantings are ordinary here rather than occasional, particularly through a long winter when the reserve stops offering much. Plant selection on that edge of the city should assume that pressure, because protecting preferred material indefinitely is a chore no homeowner keeps up.

Elm Creek Park Reserve sits on the city's edge and a good share of Champlin backs onto green space or the creek corridor. Those rear boundaries are semi-public and frequently unmarked, and wildlife pressure off the reserve is steady rather than occasional. Both are worth planning around before a bed goes in rather than discovering afterwards.
