This is a very small city where every property is visible and the maintenance standard is uniformly high. Buckthorn and similar species resprout vigorously from a cut stump and reseed from every berry already in the soil, so a contractor who lets you believe one visit ends it is selling you a disappointment. The other common problem is the debris pile: brush cleared into a heap at the back of the property is not removed, it is relocated, and it becomes habitat and a fire consideration. Clearing also opens ground to light, which means whatever seed is already in that soil comes up next spring unless something goes in first.
